Individualised Assessment

Every assessment at Transforming Therapy Services runs for 4 sessions split into 3 customised assessment sessions and the 4th session being a family session in which we review outcomes, recommendations and answer any questions you have.

Before your assessment, your clinician will call you to introduce themselves and discuss your referral concerns. They will also ask questions to understand your likes and dislikes in order to customise the assessment to you. In each assessment, you will engage in a range of intrinsically motivating activities and/or discussions which will enable the clinician to assess underlying skills and understand you. During and after each assessment session your clinician will briefly explain outcomes and the intentions for the next session before completing comprehensive notes post session.

In the 4th session, your clinician will explain the outcomes of the assessment, recommendations and explain skills and development. If you are continuing with intervention, your clinician will also discuss goals.

Clinician’s will train parents, carers, supports throughout ongoing services with formal team collaborations arrange at 10 week intervals to ensure we review development, provide education and focused training outside of the direct client facing service.

Assessments are unfortunately costly due to the amount of time involved in the direct service and the notes involved post session. However, post assessment you will have a thorough understanding of your development and how we can support growth within your challenging areas.

Our assessment does not focus on fixes. Instead it focuses on gaining an understanding for the person and family we are meeting in order to support you on your growth journey.
